Last Day in Rome

As this was our last day in Rome before heading north to Florence, we covered the Piazza del Popolo, the Spanish Steps, and the Pantheon and wound it up at the Trevi Fountain. Whew, a lot done in a short time. We had a late lunch at one of Rome’s oldest restaurants, Al Moro, established sometime in the late 1920s. Both of us had the identical meal; appetizer of breasola, arugula and Parmigiano-reggiano cheese. The main course is a dish made famous in Rome, Pasta all’Amatriciana. Delicious and so filling we skipped dinner. A quiet evening in the hotel lounge, and off to the room to pack. Our clothes had apparently expanded, but we were able to get everything back in the bags.

    Bev and David-
Greetings- I can see you’re having a wonderful time! loved the photos of Trevi Fountain-
could almost hear Frank Sinatra warbling ‘Three Coins In The Fountain’. Do you think a replica of the fountain might look good at the end of the pool, or be a bit too much…
