Off to Provence

Up at 4:30 off to the airport for arrival at 5:45 a.m. Franco wasn’t available, as he was out scaring people on the AutoStrada, but the hotel sent Antonio, aka, “Tony Stewart” who broke the current world speed record from our hotel to the airport using only two wheels at a time at 3.5 minutes. The Florence Tourism Board threw down the checkered flag, making the time official and we accepted the ‘Golden Speed Trophy’ from the Guinness World Book of Records. The rest of the day was spent flying and waiting in the Munich airport for a connecting flight to Marseilles. Once in Marseilles, we picked up our car and drove to Eygalières and at 4:30ish we arrived at our rental, a 200+ year-old farmhouse, “Mas de la Rasclaouse” which will be our home for the next three weeks. We met with our agent, Guy Knox, who showed us the ins and outs of the farmhouse.
