We got a leisurely start to the day, stumbled on a street fair in the village (Eygalières), which had a wine tasting table, antiques, flowers, pottery, cheese and a variety of other items to buy. It also had a roaming Jazz combo. We ended up with two bottles of a local wine from Domaine de la Vallongue and purchased some wonderful cheeses. The fair was fun and quite lively to while away some time. David already has a nickname from the residents, “le ancienne homme,” which he thinks means “man of great wisdom.” They call me “madame mafiosa” which I think means “woman of great beauty and charm. “
Off to St. Remy-de-Provence for a late lunch at L’Olivade Restaurant and a stop at Entre Sel et Terre to pick up some spices.
